OUR STORY
Why We Started Our Club

For the past few years, I heard my uncle say, "We need to start some kind of cruise-in in Jayess that everyone can come out and enjoy cars (old and new) and fellowship without having to drive a long way". Well, I kept hearing lot's of talk and never any action behind it. I knew that my son would really enjoy having a car club to be apart of too, since he has a passion for vehicles of all kind. So, I decided I'm going to do it! I knew they didn't have time to really get it started, so why not help them. We needed a place to host it, and the Refuge said they would love for us to use their facility and grounds and with it being in the heart of Jayess, it was perfect! We hosted our first cruise-in on July 25, 2020 and we had 39 registered vehicles and of course a few more that didn't register. We had our first fundraiser for a local lady with ALS in September and it was a great success! I decided that this was an awesome opportunity not only for us, but to help others out as well. It has helped many people, especially during this Covid outrbreak. It gives people something to do without being in super close contact with anyone unless they want to. We have had a great turn out at most of our cruise-ins, but even when we didn't have, the warm atmosphere of an evening spent with family, community and fellow car lovers is an evening well spent. I only wish we would have started earlier.
